WakeMK Summer Jam 2008

WakeMKs fourth Summer Jam event went off with a bang. Riding was hot (unlike the weather) & the moment the riders hit the water the crowd was hooked. Groups included a new Slider & Kicker style, Pro Men, Amature Men and Juniors, Pro Women, Amature Women and Juniors & Wakeskate. Awesome riding & some hardcore crashing was seen throughout various catagories but the real buzz was when Dec landed his wildcard (Double S Bend) & received 1st place for Pro Men. At just 16 years of age the boy is a machine with so much more to come.

Big up to all the staff at WakeMK for a top day.

Board Board Board!!

Dec takes a break from the water to soak up some rays and watch a bit on the box with a couple of his 'bored' buddies.

Bedford River Festival

Bedford River Festival took place over the weekend of the 12th and 13th July. The water sports arena on the river itself included, canoe polo, wakeboarding, Stand up board canoeing, thundercats speedboats and freestyle kayaking. With a kicker from Box End Park, Pro's were towed with a jet bike driven by Lee Debuse to demonstrate inverts.

Riders included:
Declan Clifford
Kath Moore
Dan Jordan
Jonty Green
Lee Debuse

Return Of The Jedi

After a bout of illness Dec returned to the water 2 stone lighter & as pale as a pint of milk. Didn't stop him throwing some shapes on the water though, hell no. But returning back to where he belonged Dec capped the final stage of recovery to enjoy some summer riding with his friends.
Yeehar....

Bank Holiday Weekend

Washout... The rain kept on coming but I was well up for some new stuff. Been trying a few new tricks, mostly Toe Side and Switch Toe Side which is fun to learn. Still tryin to get my Double S Bends down. I land one like sweet and then try it again later and full aka DIE haha but they are getting better evey time. Weird trick. I'm landing 540s every way and Swich Toe 720s most of the time, but still need to keep spinning haha.

WWA Wake Park World Series - PPA - Toulouse

First of the 4 WWA stops, Toulouse. The buzz is running high here, world class riders strutting their stuff & getting used to the left foot cable. Lots of sick mobes & air tricks & obstacles to hit hard. It is awesome competing against people that I thought I would never even meet & a real privilege to be riding with them.

British team trials & talent spotting

13th April - Sheffield & 27th April - Princes

Rocked up and rode hard for both events. Had great feedback from the British Team Manager Stuart Marston so was happy with my ride. Princes was all a bit manic with having the site closed because of a chemical spillage. It re-opened just in time for the event and competitors had to sign a disclaimer to ride. The spillage had left corner one humming like a week old prawn sandwhich. Just made sure I landed binding side up ;)

Uniwake Weekend 19-21st April 2008

Louis & I rocked up at Box End Park to help out the Uniwake crew with some raley & slider clinics. The weather was stopping none of them as each & every member rose to the challenge of learning new tricks. Sunday was ace as a group took the water to compete in the Big Air competition. Top weekend.

Shout to Uniwake (especially the dude that rode with no wetsuit & turned blue. He should be nicknamed 'Smurf') Also big shout to Box End for being host's with the most.

Peace out.

Impact Movie Premier

Christian Koester, Lee Debuse, Dec Clifford

Hosted by WakeMK the new wakeboard movie Impact was shown at Xscapes Sno Bar in Central Milton Keynes. The place was buzzing & I got to catch up with a few of the other riders before the movie kicked off.

The movie was sick, full of mind blowing inverts, I couldn't wait to get back on the water after watching it.
Big shout to WakeMK, top night guys.

Jobe Team - Sponsorship

Following my birthday celebrations I headed down to WakeMK to hit the water. As I was riding Mum sat on the dock talking to the local Jobe representative. Mum waved me in & I nearly fell over when he shook my hand & said welcome to the team, it is the best news I could have had for my birthday & am totally stoked. Am now looking forward to a delivery of new gear & a board. Sick. Thanks Jobe!
