Friday 18th Sept - I headed to Princes Club, London for the WWA & King of Cable Comp. I entered Junior Men category, as I stood a better chance of being in the King of Cable final... which is a head to head of all the winners of each category.
The runs were straight off the dock and you did one complete circuit of the cable... if you fell you got picked up once. My first run was good but I knew I could have ridden better. I qualified 2nd which I was really pleased with.
Day 2 I had to get up early for the finals, my category went out at mid-day. I was second from last off the dock - I had a good run, including some of my hardest tricks, 313, Tweety and a 7 off the kicker. Everyone rode really sik and it was a close comp .. I came 3rd .. so on the podium but unfortunately not in the King of Cable final. Results here.
After the comp there was a fancy dress party .. I went as a chicken!
We had a great time .. Ash Templeman won dressed as Lego Man.
Happy Days !!!

ECWC & CWWC - Finland
On the 27th of July I headed out to the European’s in Finland, Ukkohalla with the British Cable Wakeboard Team where I would also enter the CWWC tour stop.
The first day we went to the cable to check it out, the obstacles and the cable looked sick. Our accommodation were amazing log cabins which I shared with Nick Davies, James Young, CK, Freddy Carter, Connor Jones, Kerry Gospel, Will Mann’s and Ralph Young the Team Captain.
After no sleep at all due to there being no darkness in Finland I was told to get up at 7am for team training... good times lol. I got on well with the cable and was happy with my days riding.
On the friday I qualified 3rd in my group, taking me to the semi-finals which I was very happy with.
The next morning I was up nice and early again for the semi finals. I was first of the dock and landed my run which put me into top spot. I was sitting in 3rd position but knew I had to step up my game. Next run saw me landing the same as before but just going down on a back side 540, so I was not going thought to the finals.
The next day there was the CWWC (Cable Wakeboarding World Championships) tour stop where I came 4th. Shy of 3rd place by only 1 point. But I was still happy as I’d had a sick time and was looking forward to getting back to the UK.
I would just like to say a big thanks to all the British Team all my sponsors Alpinestars, Jobe, Box End Park, Trap 5 and Justoffbase and also a big thanks to my mummy for making it all possible.

Wakestock 2009
The 10th anniversary of Wakestock a mixture of sunshine, strong winds, pouring rain, some sick live music & amazing riding from all new and old riders.
Day one & riding well I qualified from Amatuers to ride in Pro Mens. Day 2, the wind picked up & a mixture of the choppy sea water & a bit too much partying the night before, I rode badly & was really disappointed with my run. Seeing Nick Davies riding, we all knew that he was going to take the Wakestock Championship & he did. Sick riding Nick.
Back on the festival site we all had great fun in the mud. The music was awesome & the bad weather didn't seem to spoil anyones fun.

Ten Feet High - Round Two
This Ten Feet High was even better than the last one... with more riders and the lake was the flatest I have ever seen it. 14 riders in the pro catagory all riding at such a high standard the competition was really hard. So to come 2nd was amazing. Big thanks to all the guys down at Sheffield cable, they always make everyone feel so welcome and the BBQ is tops!

1st Place - CK Koester
2nd Place - Dec Clifford
3rd Place - Simon Chapell

Hip-notics - Turkey
31st of March....Turkey. The sickest cable I've ever ridden. The kickers and sliders where amazing. A top setup setup with an awesomely sound team running the show. First day out there I meet up with a friend Freedy Vo Ostin and we rode at 10 at night, which was when I had the best ride ever.
Highly recommended to any cable rider. Food, sunshine & sounds. THe guys will open the cable at anytime you want to ride & there are speakers on every tower. Pimp. There is a 5 corner cable a 6 corner and two Rixen trainers which are sik for learning new inverts on, so get your self out there people.
Peace.

Vanity 2009 Wakeboard is sik!!
The first time I rode the Vanity I knew it was the board I wanted to ride this year. I rode the Conformity last year and its the same shape with a few more improvements. I love this board!
It works well on the cable and the boat with it's progressive continuous rocker which gives you the smoothest transitions into the wake with the sickest pop. The Vanity also rides well on the cable with its 3 fins on each end of the board. This gives you the best edge for cutting out on the cable.
Also a top all-rounder board for any level rider. Beginners and pro’s, anyone will love riding this board, but the best thing for me is the graphics, no joke, I think I am in love with the girl on my board lol.
Good work jobe - j star.

Training at Ski Rixen - Florida, USA
I headed over to Florida to stay with Marc Shuster and his family, who kindly took me in for two weeks (thanks guys) so that I could get some winter riding in at the nearby cable, Ski Rixen.
My winter training started a Heathrow airport; I was travelling on my own for the first time. On the return flight I was sitting inbetween an illegal immigrant (that had to be sent home) and a screaming baby! Niiiiice.
The first day I arrived, I went straight to the cable with Marcs friend Gemma from SA. The cable is made by Ski Rixen which was really tight and sick to do inverts on. The water was really warm especially compared to the UK. The people at the cable were really friendly and I met some good riders like Josh Banks, Rob Map, Diego Shaw and obviously Marc. The obstacles there were sick!! They had an A-frame, 3 kickers, flat bar and a wall ride.
After only a few days of riding, I had already broken my toe by kicking a ladder in the water (bit embarrassing). That didn't stop me though. I spent most of each day, riding, eating mackyD’s and partying. I was starting to wish I didn’t have to go home. But I still knew I had 10 days left, so all was good.
At the weekend we went to the boat lake near Marcs and I had a wicked set. Marc also took me to a Flowrider in Miami, which was real fun. But I couldn’t do anything lol so I got off and bought some plastic bubbles (a resin that you blow up, you pinch the hole shut and can shape it) haha.
The next day, Marc, Diego and myself rocked up to the cable early, for a big air session on the indy line. I met Jimmy Larich who didn’t join in, but had more fun watching us. I tried a double backroll which was surprisingly close. I also learnt a front side 313 later on that day, which I was stoked about. Josh Banks also landed one (yea man).
The riding was coming to an end, but I still had one more night to go to Hooters, which was an experience (giggidy giggidy). Big thanks to Marc and his family, Mummy and most of all Jobe.
